Up to 40 a day and around 1,085 in its lifetime! These eggs aren’t sticky and fall into carpets, floor cracks, pet bedding, and grass. The eggs hatch after 2 to 12 days, and once hatched, fleas go through different stages before becoming adults. The larval stage lasts 24 days in warm weather, but it can be as long as 200 days in cold weather. During this time, fleas hide in dark and warm places, like pet bedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adult fleas can go without a blood meal for at least two weeks. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

They are eager eaters and will not hesitate to bite people or animals. They are also hungry for a reason – they need to eat to be able to lay eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
